CANOVA comes from the vision of Italian physicist Marco Ferrari. His path begins in robotics, a field in which he stands out from a very young age, winning several national competitions. That drive for innovation takes him to the University of Padua, where he earns a master's degree in Condensed Matter Physics with top marks and a pioneering thesis on free-space quantum communication.

Selected for one of only 15 doctoral scholarships awarded each year by the same university, he specialises in quantum cryptography, going on to contribute to strategic projects for the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers. After working alongside the R&D departments of several multinationals, Ferrari consolidates his expertise at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, specialising in neural networks and artificial intelligence.
